The Community Beautification Awards Program was established
in 1981 by the New Hampshire Arborist Association to encourage New Hampshire communities to have an increased awareness
of the benefit and value of tree care and landscape beautification. Certified Arborists judge nominated communities
based on four criteria including:
Maintenance on Existing Trees, Shrubs and Flowers
Planting in public areas
Enthusiasm and Spirit
of those actively involved in a beautification project
Overall Appearance - Cleanliness, Aesthetics, Initiative
in Downtown and other Public Areas
Congratulations to the twelve communities that are winners in our Community Beautification Awards Program
for 2006. These twelve commmunities are reconized for their outstanding efforts at public landcape management and beautification.
Governor Lynch made these award presentations at the State House Ceremony on May 4, 2007.
Communities receiving
the awards are Boscawen, Dublin, Durham, Enfield, Franconia, Keene, Madbury, Meredith, Nashua, Newbury, Orford and Peterborough.
